I’m an Indigenous Canadian Archaeologist who was asked to be a Community Representative for my home community, the Xwisten (Bridge River) Community of the St'at'imc Nation. Aside from that, I have been involved with archaeology project excavations that have been happening in partnership with the University of Montana at a pithouse village located in my community since 2012, the most recent being with Forager and the same Professor and her students, Professor Anna Marie Prentiss. I am also an undergraduate anthropology student with a focus on archaeology as well with the University of Montana and am nearly completed that.I am a culturally active person of my community with song, dance, hunting, and fishing in my people’s ancestral land of the Bridge River Valley located outside the small town of Lillooet BC, Canada. I plan to continue learning about archaeology academically and bringing an indigenous perspective to it as well.
