Lucy is a PhD student at the University of Montana with a concentration on Cultural Heritage and Applied Anthropology. She graduated from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. While attending Berry, she was a Bonner Scholar, graduating with a Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude in the Spring of 2024 and majoring in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. Her academic interests include feminist theory and practice, hunter-gatherer archaeology, cultural evolution, subsistence, faunal analysis, and community and public archaeology. As a member of FORAGER, she will be studying under Drs. Anna Marie Prentiss (University of Montana) and Enrico Crema (Cambridge) to complete her dissertation on demography and subsistence practices at the Bridge River archaeological site in British Columbia.
